This set from 1961 is the "Authorized edition based on MGM's National Velvet as seen on NBC Television". Twenty-four of the 32 pieces of costumes and accessories are still here. The cardboard doll has a bend at her knees. The exterior of the book is in very good condition. The inside of the book has a large tear from the corner of the clothing "pocket" down - the good news is that I never tried to fix it - no tape or anything on it. There is a smaller tear at the doll "pocket" - it is about 2" long - also never tried to fix it.
This is from a non-smoking home.
