This is wonderful little dolly bear that I know nothing about. I don't know if she is old and if so, how old, or if she is a reproduction of an old dolly bear. For this reason alone, I am selling her as is, at a very low starting bid and no reserve, in hopes that she will please someone. I will try to describe her the best I can and if you have any questions, please email before bidding.
She measuers 15" tall from bottom of her feet to jingle bell at the tip of her hat. She is created with a wooly feeling material, I am not sure if it is mohair or maybe an old wool carriage blanket? She is fully jointed and her pawpads are of wool felt. She wears an old tattered satin ribbon tied in a bow at her neck with what looks like an old Christmas Tree ornament attached with a hatpin with pink pearl at the end. She has an old brass jingle bell on the tip of her hat (which is not removeable).
Her face is a dark hard plastic type of material and her mouth is open. Her eyes look like glass, but I am not sure, they are dark brown with milky white around them. Her hair is very soft. My collection is comprised of more modern artist bears, and I don't know much about this type of doll or bear.
She seems to be in wonderful condition, her nose has a little peel on it if you look very closely, but everything else seems in excellent condition. Her joints are good and work well, she will sit very nicely.
