Rare 1937 Schuco Felix The Cat w/Lanvin Perfume Bottle
Description:
Rare vintage Felix The Cat with a Lanvin 'Pretexte' mini Perfume Bottle.
Black stuffed velvet body and head with white felt face features; jointed at shoulders and hips; metal button nose; stitched mouth and glass eyes.
Removable head revealing a glass vial with Lanvin's Prétexte miniature perfume extract sample with gilt brass screw on cap into head.
This unrecorded piece is unmarked but it was probably made in Germany by Schuco or perhaps made in France for Lanvin, circa. 1937.
Dimensions:
3-¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall.
Condition:
Empty flawless glass vial/bottle with yellowed front label. Somewhat worn velvet, partially damaged to the neck (see picture #6). Limbs seem to be reattached. Otherwise, fine overall condition.
Note: This charming and desirable Felix The Cat comes from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
