The story of the bug ball begins with the Queen Bee issuing invitations to various and noble inhabitants of her bug kingdom to attend her annual "Beauty Bug Ball".
Each new bug that is introduced into the series comes with it's own original RSVP to the Queen and is uniquely costumed in a whimsical bug motif. Each doll is hallmarked on the back of the neck with Marie's signature and is hand numbered.
